Schedule: M-F 8 – 5 CST (remote)

Position: Senior Surgical Coding Auditor & Analyst (Pro-Fee)

Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 10 years of billing, coding, and medical records experience.
  • 5 years of recent certified coding and auditing experience.
  • Proficient in coding for Urology, Breast, Gynecology, General Surgery, and Colorectal specialties (Professional Fee).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and EMR Systems.
  • Detail orientation and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members to educate coders and physicians
  • CPC Cert is required

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Surgical Coding Auditor & Analyst to join our team. This role involves auditing and analyzing surgical coding practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in billing, coding, and medical records, with a strong background in various surgical specialties.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed audits of surgical coding to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide feedback and education to coding staff based on audit findings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain coding and reimbursement education materials.
  • Review and analyze data reports for coding compliance.
  • Collaborate with physicians and office staff to improve coding practices.
  • Support the US Oncology Compliance program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
