Job Summary
Under indirect supervision, the physician provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized specialty or specified patient population.
Core Responsibilities

Provide and manage direct patient care (exams, assessments, diagnosis, treatment).

Prescribe medications and treatment regimens.

Refer patients to specialists/resources as needed.

Train and supervise medical students and residents.

Oversee daily operations of a medical program, unit, or function.

Direct and coordinate care activities of nursing/support staff.

Follow organizational policies, quality improvement, and safety standards.

Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention programs.

Perform related duties as required.
Education & Experience Requirements
Required:
-
Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) with completed residency and internship.

Relevant clinical experience (including residency in specialty).
-
Knowledge of medical, legal, and ethical standards of care.

Strong skills in diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, and patient instruction.

Ability to supervise, train, and mentor students/clinicians.

Excellent communication (verbal and written).
-
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Licensure & Certification
Required:
-
Current New York State Certification/Licensure.

Federal DEA Certification.
-
Board Certified/Board Eligible in specified specialty (with license/certification as applicable).
