About the Job
Location: Bristol, Bolton, or Stevenage (Relocation package available)
Salary: Circa £55,000 (Dependent on experience)
Hybrid Working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen (BPSS checks required post-offer)
About the Role
Join a highly successful Air Defence programme as part of the Platform Communications Team, where you’ll provide through-life support for a critical sub-system, the Platform Data Link Terminal (PDLT). This role involves analysing and reporting on new technologies while enhancing core product capabilities across Sea and Land domains.
As a System Engineer in Network Communications, you’ll gain hands-on experience in engineering product delivery, stakeholder engagement, and leading technology specialists—helping to develop cutting-edge weapon systems that support UK and international Armed Forces.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
- Proactive attitude with a problem-solving approach
- Ability to challenge established processes and drive improvements
- Experience in engineering product delivery and technical problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of System Engineering Processes (e.g., System Specification, Testing, and Integration)
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML and UML (preferably with Rhapsody)
- Familiarity with Requirements Capture and Control tools (DOORS) and Configuration Management software (Dimensions or RTC)
