About the Role

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Help Desk / Systems Administrator to support IT operations for a leading DoD program. You will be responsible for maintaining system functionality, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide help desk support, troubleshooting IT issues, and resolving service requests.
  • Manage network accounts, software applications, email services, and hardware configurations.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with Standard Desktop Configurations (SDC).
  • Administer handheld wireless devices, remote desktop management, and specialized network systems.
  • Support server administration, ensuring system performance, patch management, and security compliance.
  • Perform data backups, system maintenance, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Maintain and update the Help Desk Intranet (SharePoint site).
  • Ensure STIG compliance and adherence to DoD security policies.

What You’ll Need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2-5 years in systems administration and IT support.
  • Certifications: DoDD 8570.01-M & 8140 IAT Level II (Security+ CE preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Help Desk services, IT troubleshooting, system administration, network management, and compliance.
