Overview

Stevenson University seeks a skilled Systems Administrator to implement, maintain, optimize, and upgrade critical IT infrastructure. This role requires managing key services, responding to emergency outages, and occasionally working non-standard hours.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of IT experience in a complex environment.
2+ years of Windows Server administration (multi-server, multi-site).
Industry certifications (Microsoft, Cisco) preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between campuses.

Technical Expertise:

Windows Server (2012–2022), Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, Group Policy (GPOs)
PowerShell scripting (2–3 years experience)
Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Azure)
Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Hyper-V
Storage Management: RAID, SAN (iSCSI, Fiber Channel)
Enterprise Security & Backup Solutions
TCP/IP services (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, etc.)
Familiarity with networking fundamentals, change management, and multi-tier architectures

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise storage management and maintain private cloud infrastructure.
Install, configure, and support Windows Server and MS SQL Server environments.
Manage Active Directory, M365, Exchange Online, and SharePoint.
Enhance remote access platforms and user account lifecycle management.
Identify and implement new technologies to improve performance and cost-efficiency.
Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.
Collaborate with OIT staff on infrastructure projects.

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, elevated areas, exposure to noise and chemicals).
Occasional evenings, weekends, and travel between campuses.
