Role Summary
The Senior Hybrid-Cloud Virtualization Engineer will design, implement, and manage enterprise hybrid-cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, performance, and availability. This senior-level role combines technical leadership, hands-on troubleshooting, and mentoring responsibilities across virtualization, automation, and enterprise cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities

Configure, install, and maintain virtualization hardware and software.

Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis.

Lead capacity planning, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery designs.

Mentor and train junior engineers and administrators.

Manage technical projects and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Develop policies, best practices, and system documentation.

Stay current with new technologies through certifications and training.
Requirements
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of experience in virtualization and cloud engineering.
Technical Expertise

Virtualization: VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, Aria Operations, Replication Manager, Nutanix AOS/AHV/Prism.

Public Cloud: AWS, Azure.

Hardware: Cisco UCS, Dell VxRail, VSAN Ready systems, hyperconverged platforms.

Backup/Recovery: Cohesity, Rubrik, EMC Avamar, Veeam.

Protocols: DHCP, DNS, LDAP, TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL.

Automation: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub.
Other Skills
