Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated professional to support key systems, drive operational excellence, and improve data processes within AWS Data Center Design Engineering. This role involves overseeing critical infrastructure systems, developing and maintaining reporting tools, training internal and external partners, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with technical and business teams, lead efforts to streamline operations, and ensure accurate tracking and reporting across projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a system administrator for high-priority project systems.

  • Deliver training and provide tactical support to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Generate ad hoc reports on project status, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and milestone tracking.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives from concept through execution, including requirements gathering, development, testing (UAT), deployment, training, support, and analysis.

  • Create and maintain systems to track open issues and project progress.

  • Own and manage business metric reporting; support ad hoc and recurring data requests.

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance tracking tools.

  • Participate in team meetings and communicate project updates or data needs.

  • Conduct audits to ensure process adherence and data integrity.

  • Analyze, structure, and model data from engineering documents and project files.

  • Travel up to 25% may be required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or 2+ years of experience as a project engineer in large-scale commercial design/construction.

  • 2+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries and Python scripts, including experience in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.

  • 2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data using Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, or equivalent databases.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with project management and construction tools such as Smartsheet, Salesforce, BIM360, SharePoint, Bluebeam, and Procore.

  • Deep understanding of project lifecycle sequencing and design/construction processes.

  • Skilled with tools like Visio, Miro, and SmartSheet.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI.

  • Ability to use APIs and SDKs for automation and scripting.

  • Familiarity with AWS data services such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM roles.


Compensation

This role offers a competitive compensation package reflective of geographic location and individual experience.

  • Base Salary Range: $105,100 – $185,000 per year (dependent on location and qualifications)
