Systems Engineer – Verisma
Verisma is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their Cloud Infrastructure team within Technical Operations. This role focuses on maintaining infrastructure stability and developing automated monitoring and administration tools.
About the Role:
The Systems Engineer will provide IT operations support, maintain network infrastructure, manage servers, automate tasks, and ensure system availability.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide daily IT Operations Support.
- Maintain existing network infrastructure and support data backup and recovery.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, applying patches and updates.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of server support (physical and virtual, Windows/Linux).
- Automate server and service provisioning and other tasks.
- Create and maintain system documentation (server configurations, network diagrams, SOPs).
- Share knowledge and collaborate with team members.
- Respond to system incidents and service requests.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Manage and monitor installed systems and infrastructure.
- Proactively ensure system and infrastructure availability.
- Monitor and test application performance.
- Write and maintain custom scripts for system efficiency.
- Adhere to Verisma Core Values and ethical standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year degree or relevant experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in system infrastructure.
- Healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows Servers, Active Directory, cloud management, monitoring, and PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of systems, networking software/hardware, and networking protocols.
- Experience with virtualization, containerization, and monitoring systems.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and resourcefulness.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to deliver results.
