Program Overview
The Ignite Innovators Program is Peraton’s premier two-year, technical leadership development program designed to help recent graduates launch impactful careers in national security. Ignite Innovators receive mentorship, hands-on training, and real-world experience on high-profile projects, with the opportunity to transition into Peraton’s mission sector programs upon completion.
About the Role
As an Entry-Level Systems Engineer, you will:

Design, test, and support innovative technology solutions in areas such as cybersecurity, satellite ground systems, cloud computing, and mobility

Work in an Agile, team-oriented environment to shape project direction

Support the software engineering life-cycle, including requirements management, system design, testing, documentation, deployment, and IT support

Collaborate with leaders across Peraton on missions of national consequence
Qualifications
Required:
-
U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (0–2 years’ experience)

Graduation date: Dec 2025 or May/June 2026

Familiarity with software development/scripting languages (e.g., Java, C++, Perl, Bash)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Hands-on experience through coursework or internships
Desired:

GPA 3.0 or higher

Understanding of Agile or iterative software development

Experience with Windows/Linux, databases, web application servers, or automated testing tools

Familiarity with application/network installation, configuration, or administration
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $66,000 – $106,000
