In this role, you’ll collaborate across teams—both inside and outside Apple—to build innovative security products. You’ll help develop embedded systems that strengthen Apple’s security posture and provide forward-thinking solutions under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable services and platforms for secure operations.

  • Stay current on emerging security research, technologies, and best practices.

  • Perform root cause analysis and develop solutions.

  • Optimize Apple’s information security products for resiliency in hostile environments.

  • Contribute as a teammate, leader, student, and mentor.

  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and ambiguity.

  • Maintain detail-oriented execution while managing multiple complex projects.

  • Champion automation, tooling, and testing in the software lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in common systems programming languages.

  • Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals.

  • Experience in framework and daemon development.

  • Familiarity with hardware/software development lifecycle processes.

  • Experience with CI/CD practices (rollback, canaries, feature flags, etc.).

  • Knowledge of configuration management, security issues, and protocols.

  • Understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks (OAuth, OpenID, SAML).

  • Working knowledge of network security and applied cryptography.

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies/frameworks.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in system architecture, driver, and firmware development.

  • Track record of shipping high-quality software for iOS/macOS/tvOS.

  • Ability to read and understand hardware specifications and schematics.

  • Programming experience in Swift, C, C++, or Objective-C.
