Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Volunteer Religious Education Teacher to join our community-driven team. In this impactful role, you will guide children and young people in their spiritual growth while helping them understand key religious principles and values.
You will design interactive and thought-provoking lessons, mentor students on their faith journeys, and inspire active participation in community and leadership projects. Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the religious education curriculum

Lead inclusive discussions that foster critical thinking and personal reflection

Mentor and support students in their spiritual and moral development

Organise community-focused activities such as service projects and fundraising events

Foster strong communication with students, families, and fellow educators

Assess students’ understanding and provide supportive feedback

Collaborate with other volunteers and educators to improve the overall learning experience
What We’re Looking For

Experience working with children or young people in an educational, mentoring, or pastoral setting

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide

A clear and compassionate communicator, confident in discussing faith-related topics

A deep understanding of religious teachings and the ability to apply them in a modern, relatable context

Experience in community involvement, hospice care, or organising fundraising events is a plus

Relevant qualifications in education, theology, or youth work are preferred but not essential

A passion for youth empowerment, faith, and service
