What You’ll Do:
As a Teaching and Learning Mentor, you’ll be on the front lines of our students’ development. You’ll work one-on-one and in small groups with young adults with autism, helping them grow in confidence, improve communication, and develop key life skills. You’ll use Behaviour Analysis techniques (no experience necessary—we’ll train you!) to support functional learning both inside the classroom and out in the community.
About the Post-19 Service:
BeyondAutism’s Post-19 program supports autistic adults in achieving independence and meaningful adult lives. With personalised learning plans, the curriculum focuses on:

Employment and vocational training

Active community participation
What You’ll Need:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths or a relevant childcare qualification

Passion and genuine interest in working with autistic young adults
-
Resilience to handle physical and emotional demands
-
Good communication and teamwork skills
-
Basic IT skills for tracking progress and updating records
-
Willingness to travel using public transport
-
Experience working in SEND education or with people with autism is a strong advantage
