About the Role
Synergy Carers is proudly working with our trusted partner to recruit dedicated Teaching Assistants experienced in supporting children and young adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role is ideal for compassionate individuals with a passion for inclusive education and a desire to make a meaningful difference.
You will support students aged 5 to 25 with a range of needs, including:

Physical disabilities

ADHD
-
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)

Complex Communication Needs
You will provide assistance both 1:1 and in small groups, in day centres and community environments, helping individuals engage in stimulating and enjoyable activities.
Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to children and young adults with SEND requirements.

Assist in both classroom and community-based settings.

Encourage participation in mainstream activities with a focus on inclusion.

Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers, carers, and healthcare professionals.
Required Experience & Certifications

Minimum 1 year of SEND experience (required).

Understanding of Learning Disabilities and behaviour management techniques.

Knowledge of Safeguarding practices for vulnerable children and young adults.

Driving licence (preferred, for travel to various community locations).

DBS check (preferred – assistance can be provided if needed).
Training and professional development opportunities are available for suitable candidates.
