About the Role
St Margaret Clitherow Roman Catholic Primary School is seeking a compassionate, flexible and effective Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive KS2 team. This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting both the academic progress and emotional wellbeing of primary-aged pupils.
Working under the direction of a class teacher, you will:

Support day-to-day classroom activities

Deliver targeted interventions to support learning

Assist with preparing classroom resources

Promote pupils’ emotional and physical wellbeing
-
Provide inclusive support tailored to individual pupil needs
This role is particularly suited to someone with experience in a primary school environment and an understanding of the specific needs of Key Stage 2 (KS2) learners.
Working Hours
22.75 hours per week (Term time only)

Monday: 8:30am – 1:15pm (including lunch duty)

Tuesday to Friday: 8:45am – 1:15pm (including lunch duty)
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
-
Prior experience working in a primary school setting
-
Knowledge or experience supporting KS2 pupils

Proficiency in English (spoken, written, spelling, grammar) and Mathematics

Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and independently
Desirable:
-
GCSE or equivalent qualifications
-
Experience delivering learning interventions or supporting SEND pupils
