Job Overview
Bridgewater High School is seeking a dedicated Level 4 Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within our Designated Provision at the Lower School site.
In this vital role, you will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to support individual pupils and small groups. You will also contribute to planning, delivery, and assessment, helping to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Support the learning and development of students with ASD

Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons under teacher guidance

Contribute to behaviour management and classroom organisation

Deliver targeted interventions to promote progress and independence

Help ensure equal access to learning for all pupils

Work collaboratively with staff across the provision
Requirements
-
Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly ASD
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A calm, supportive, and flexible approach to student needs
