Job Description:

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The role holder is responsible to Manage end-to-end smart metering projects including planning, design, execution, and completion to meet strategic objectives, quality standards, and performance targets.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall management and leadership roles, inclusive responsibilities such as project manager, project planner, progress tracker, process administrator (change control, risks, issues, configuration, and documentation management), quality controller, and administrative support.
Day to day communication with Engineers and manager of department to address any arising issues and to recommend the necessary solution / proposal.
Overseeing the different phase of project inclusive of elect and water metering end to end projects for all customers.
Set out the targeted KPI for all work activities in line with departments.
Well versed in the advanced metering infrastructure related technologies and highly experience in similar kind of project management.
Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion and reporting to department’s manager.
Address the development requirements and reporting it to the department manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.
Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
Monitors the status of the advanced metering infrastructure operational work to ensure its full
Functionality as per quality assurance standards.
Leads the diagnosing and correcting problems related to the Smart Metering Solution field equipment and to runs daily health checks involved in Data Center.
Responsible for pro-active monitoring and repair of the last mile communication including smart meter’s communications to the concerned parties.
Utilizes knowledge of advanced metering infrastructure system and latest communicating technologies: GSM, Broadband on Power Line (BPL) Technology, Radio Frequency Technology and Networking for effective conduct of work activities and configuration of communication equipment where and as needed.
Monitoring and assist in configuration, including change of device parameter and configuration including device parameter and configuration change.
Ensures effective functioning of project and deliverable as per set target & the requirements.
Evaluates and inspects the required project sites to assess for optimal solution and communicates with the customer to review the processes followed during system/ equipment installation.
Responds to emergencies basis information provided by the advanced metering infrastructure on emergency action required basis customer queries or complaints.
Reviews the contract specifications and scope of works mentioned in the tender & make sure the implications.
Prepares annual schedules for conducting routine maintenance and other necessary.
Prepares monthly progress reports based on the work activities conducted, customer complaints resolved and maintains details about the equipment repaired.
Familiar with the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification requirements.
Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with health and safety regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology. PMP (Project Management Professional) Certifications to demonstrate process mastery.

Preferred: Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

15+ years leading complex infrastructure/technology programs.
Expert in utility-based project implementation, specifically in advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), with examples of past projects and outcomes.
Demonstrated Resource planning and management across dispersed teams, including quantifiable improvements in team efficiency or project delivery times.
Possessing Strong skills in technology integration and systems thinking, with evidence of innovative solutions that improved project outcomes.
Executive-level communication and strategic thinking skills, with instances of influencing project direction or stakeholder decision-making.
Value engineering and continuous improvement mindset with Supported examples of Initiatives and efficiency improvements in past projects.
