Kiwa CMT is looking for a detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join our growing Geotechnical team in Derby. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to provide crucial support in scheduling, contract coordination, and technical reporting. As a Technical Administrator, you’ll be involved in everything from preparing quotes and client reports to managing data systems and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities of a Technical Administrator

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Set up new projects, input job data, and manage scheduling for field technicians.

  • Respond to client enquiries efficiently and professionally.

  • Generate and issue quotes for geotechnical-related services.

  • Review and format site data using Excel and Word.

  • Create and distribute technical reports to clients.

  • Maintain accurate records and update job trackers in internal systems.

  • Communicate with staff, clients, and suppliers via phone and email.

  • Request client feedback and carry out other routine administrative tasks.

Technical Administrator – Skills and Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • Interest in the geotechnical industry and willingness to stay updated with market developments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong general IT skills.

  • Ability to understand and process technical results accurately.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with site/lab practices and testing procedures (desirable).

  • Team-oriented attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
