Business Analysis Responsibilities

Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess the feasibility of new systems and enhancements to existing systems, ensuring solutions align with user needs.

Lead project and application planning activities, including stakeholder meetings, status updates, and project documentation.

Gather, document, and validate business requirements.

Identify opportunities to streamline and improve business processes.
Quality Assurance Responsibilities

Partner with developers, project managers, and operations teams to support testing and deployment efforts.

Design and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on evolving project requirements.

Conduct testing of both web-based and off-the-shelf applications.

Identify, document, and track application issues.

Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including the creation of UAT cases.

Contribute to successful deployment through collaboration on release activities.
Qualifications

Solid understanding of web design principles and technologies, including web analytics, search engines, content management systems, HTML, and JavaScript.

Ability to assess and test various application components—UI, middleware, database, and backend systems—while analyzing and improving related business processes.

Adaptable and able to manage shifting business priorities.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and “figure things out” with minimal guidance.

Experience across the full testing lifecycle: gathering requirements, estimating, test planning, creating process flows, logging defects, coordinating UAT, supporting deployments, and utilizing tools such as Jira, Git, Selenium, or similar platforms.

Proven track record of leading project activities in Agile, Scrum, or Lean environments and applying industry best practices.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
-
2+ years (preferably 3+) of demonstrated success in Business Analysis and Quality Assurance roles.

Hybrid work model based in Pittsburgh, PA; Santa Monica, CA; or Washington, D.C.
Compensation
-
Salary range: $88,000 – $130,900
