Position Overview
As a Technical Operations Support Specialist I, you will provide high-quality technical support for Paylocity’s suite of applications, including HR & Payroll, General Ledger, Tax support, Integrations, Reporting, Custom Calculations, and Time & Labor systems.
You’ll troubleshoot complex technical issues, support clients and internal teams, and play a key role in resolving escalated cases while ensuring customer satisfaction. This fully remote role is ideal for candidates who are technically inclined, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for software and hardware issues.

Serve as the first point of contact for client and internal inquiries (cases, calls, and emails).

Support clients with system modifications (e.g., accruals, reporting, tax adjustments, security requests).

Document all client interactions and track recurring issues.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated technical problems.

Use Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) to analyze and manage client data.

Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.

Represent the team during client meetings and events.

Remain flexible with shift adjustments or project support needs.

Continuously build technical expertise and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Education & Experience Requirements

3+ years of customer service experience (technical support/help desk preferred).

Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data imports).

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of PC hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Technical aptitude to learn database tools (e.g., SQL) and internal applications.

Strong math skills for reporting, accruals, and General Ledger support.

Familiarity with HR & Payroll tax setups a plus.

Experience with Lean Six Sigma, C-Suite communications, or HR/Payroll systems is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $44,800 – $83,200/year (dependent on experience & location).
