The Opportunity

As a Technical Sales Representative (TSR) – Feed, you will play a key role in driving growth across AGI’s North American Feed Platform by promoting and selling our feed mill equipment, including systems for processing, material handling, and storage. This role focuses on building strong relationships with on-farm and small to mid-sized commercial feed mill operators, while increasing awareness and sales of AGI’s trusted brands. Your work will blend technical problem-solving with consultative sales, helping customers identify the right solutions to improve their feed operations.


The Team

Reporting to the Director of Commercial Execution, you’ll serve as AGI’s in-field technical expert, collaborating with feed mill customers to deliver tailored solutions and ensure long-term success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Directly sell AGI’s feed equipment portfolio to on-farm and small to mid-sized commercial feed mills.

  • Represent and promote the AGI Feed brand while cultivating strong relationships with feed mill operators.

  • Maintain and grow sales through established AGI dealers while identifying new opportunities within your territory.

  • Implement and manage a structured call schedule and maintain detailed records of prospects, sales activities, proposals, pricing, and opportunities using CRM tools.

  • Understand the needs of colony farms and non-commercial feed operations to provide tailored service and support.

  • Collaborate with clients and engineering teams to deliver AGI solutions that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

  • Provide commissioning assistance and post-sale technical support to ensure high customer satisfaction.

  • Work in partnership with AGI Farm and Commercial Sales Managers to identify potential opportunities and align sales strategies.

  • Maintain technical proficiency in AGI products and services, as well as competitive solutions.

  • Represent AGI at trade shows, producer events, conferences, and industry meetings.

  • Act as a community and brand ambassador in your assigned region.

  • Support internal teams across management, engineering, and operations as needed.

  • Take responsibility for achieving individual sales targets and overall performance within your territory.


Qualifications

  • Education: Post-secondary education or technical diploma preferred, ideally in Agriculture or Trades (e.g., Millwright certification).

  • Experience: 5–10+ years of hands-on experience in feed mill operations, technology, or equipment maintenance is strongly preferred.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Solid background in feed manufacturing and facility operations.

  • Familiarity with production processes and throughput rates.

  • Strong business acumen with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of equipment automation and maintenance practices.

  • Ability to deliver technical solutions and consultative selling to clients.

  • Highly organized and self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Effective in both independent and team-based environments.

  • Proven territory management experience.

  • Valid driver’s license required.


Technical & Software Proficiency

  • Experience using 2D or 3D design software.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce.
