Key Accountabilities
- Manage, motivate and develop the teams across the operational areas ensuring members effectively priorities work and time
- Guarantee tight deadlines will be met by planning and prioritising work efficiently
- Ensure effective communication with Digital Solutions, business and project stakeholders
- Support the UK / DS business strategy ensuring that delivered services are aligned and provide true value to the business.
- Use expert knowledge to identify risks and identify continuous improvement opportunities across the estate
- Ensure control of services to ensure efficient use across the Digital Solutions estate
- Ensure TSM compliance with governance controls
- Support the IBP process
- Understand and input to Service continuity planning, testing and exercises
- Provide support to Head of TSM as directed.
- Deputise for other TSM within the department where required.
- Add value to the Change Advisory Board
- Manage and administer the organization’s Desktop and End user compute services such as VM’s, Hardware, Refresh activities, Bespoke requirements etc.
- Monitor estate desktop performance and capacity to ensure stability and performance
- Implement and manage desktop recovery solutions to protect critical data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions based on business requirements
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades, patching, and hardware upgrades
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop related issues such as Virtualisation failures, OS builds, integration and legacy requirements, etc.
- Conduct periodic audits and assessments to identify potential risks and recommend remediation actions.
- Maintain documentation of desktop configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in end user compute.

- Broad technical knowledge and understanding of services supported within scope of TSM .
- Experience of creating and implementing process
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Ability to manage internal and external issues to deliver the business outcome
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing and maintaining enterprise-level Desktop infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of desktop technologies, including Citrix, Windows, Linux configurations, and Azure virtual machines.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with desktop protocols and standards such as MDM, License and software Management, Patching Lifecycle Management
- Excellent understanding of Desktop management principles and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g.CompTIA+, cisco certified, Azure Fundamentals, ITIL4, CASM) are a plus Actively applies skills to influence across the wider business
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
- Experience in a corporate environment or with enterprise-level support.
