Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our South Bend, IN team. In this role, you will provide exceptional technical support, manage hardware and software deployments, and ensure client systems operate seamlessly. You will collaborate closely with colleagues, escalate issues when necessary, and deliver proactive solutions that exceed client expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding technical support to clients, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Escalate complex issues appropriately, communicating critical information and tracking acceptance.

  • Prepare desktops, laptops, and other hardware for clients.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation.

  • Deliver operational and project commitments in collaboration with the Customer Team Lead.

  • Perform maintenance tasks for client systems and monitor assigned alerts.

  • Work as part of a team to address client needs efficiently and professionally.

  • Organize, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner.


Daily Technical Tasks

  • Servers: Active Directory, file permissions, domain management, backups, antivirus.

  • Network: Firewalls, switches, wireless, voice, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN.

  • Computers: Replacement, IPCONFIG troubleshooting, domain join, printer installations, antivirus setup.

  • User Support: Profile migrations, Outlook setup, mobile device email configuration.

  • Applications: Office 365, SharePoint, QuickBooks.


Qualifications

Required:

  • 1–3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Specialist or similar IT support role.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.

  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • Reside in or near South Bend, IN, with willingness to work onsite 5 days per week.

Preferred:

  • Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
