Redwood Family Care Network is a leader in providing person-centered home and community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to ensure smooth technology operations for our staff and clients. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will troubleshoot technical issues, support network and device infrastructure, and maintain system stability. Your role will directly impact our team’s ability to deliver exceptional care, creating a seamless and secure work environment for all.
What You’ll Do as a Technical Support Specialist

Provide responsive technical support to staff and clients across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, peripherals, and mobile devices (iOS and Android).

Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including Unifi access points, switches, and controllers.

Administer and support Google Workspace accounts, troubleshooting user issues and performing administrative tasks.

Utilize Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platforms for endpoint monitoring, automation, and maintenance.

Assist with remote desktop support and perform diagnostic procedures to resolve complex issues.

Maintain accurate documentation of support tickets, resolutions, and system configurations.

Collaborate with IT team members to improve support processes and contribute to IT documentation.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and cybersecurity best practices to ensure secure operations.
Required Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Google IT Support Professional are highly desirable.

Proven experience supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs).

Experience with Unifi Network devices, including access points, switches, and controllers.

Proficiency in Google Workspace administration and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of RMM tools for endpoint management and automation.

Familiarity with ticketing/helpdesk systems.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills

Experience in IT support, network administration, system administration, and technical troubleshooting.

Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
