About the Role
Common App is seeking a Temporary People Operations Specialist, Compensation to support a short-term (3–4 month) project focused on migrating compensation benchmarking data from PayScale’s legacy platform to the new PayFactors system.
This position requires advanced technical skills in PayFactors and Excel, strong data analysis capabilities, and close collaboration with the People Operations team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance throughout the migration.
Note: This role will be employed through a staffing agency (details provided during the interview process).
Key Responsibilities

Lead migration of compensation benchmarking data from PayScale’s legacy platform to PayFactors.

Validate, analyze, and ensure integrity of data for all unique positions.

Support compensation benchmarking and reporting needs during the transition.

Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies and errors.

Collaborate with People Operations to streamline migration and improve compensation processes.
Qualifications

Must reside in the United States.

3–5 years of compensation experience, including market pricing and benchmarking.

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Expertise in PayFactors (benchmarking, reporting, and data management).

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, data modeling).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Proven ability to work independently on technical, time-sensitive projects.
Preferred:

Familiarity with PayScale’s legacy system.
