What You’ll Do
As an Infrastructure Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and managing Azure-based infrastructure to support enterprise applications. You will work in close collaboration with development and architecture teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing environments. Your responsibilities will include:

Infrastructure Review & Design: Partner with development and architecture teams to evaluate and optimize the Azure Landing Zone for application deployment.

Azure Service Configuration: Select and configure appropriate Azure services, virtual machines, networking, and storage to meet project needs.

Automated Provisioning: Deploy infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with tools like Terraform, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and efficiency.

Monitoring & Alerting: Implement end-to-end observability with tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics to enable real-time monitoring and system health insights.

Security Implementation: Apply best practices in security by configuring IAM, access controls, and encryption to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.

Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design and implement reliable backup and disaster recovery plans, including data retention and restoration procedures to maintain availability and business continuity.

Infrastructure Automation: Leverage CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps to streamline infrastructure updates and deployment workflows.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create detailed infrastructure documentation, including configurations, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guides to support team collaboration and continuity.

Performance Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize infrastructure and application performance, working closely with developers to improve efficiency through caching strategies and architectural enhancements.

Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical guidance during and post-deployment. Quickly diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues in coordination with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications

2–3 years of recent experience as an Infrastructure Operations Engineer or in a similar role focused on Azure infrastructure deployment and management

Hands-on expertise with key Azure services, including:

Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks
-
Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse
-
Azure Virtual Desktop and VDI environments
-

1–2 years of direct experience administering Terraform, with a strong understanding of IaC principles
-
Practical knowledge of Azure monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Azure Sentinel, and Log Analytics
-
Solid understanding of Azure security best practices, including IAM, access management, and encryption
-
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation using Azure DevOps
-
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within Scrum teams
Preferred Qualifications

Awareness or experience with FedRAMP, FISMA, or Zero Trust Architecture principles and compliance standards
