Position Summary

Republic Services is seeking a driven sales professional to grow and maintain a robust pipeline within our Environmental Solutions division. This individual will identify new business opportunities, deepen relationships with existing clients, and promote our full suite of waste and environmental management services. The ideal candidate will bring strong industry knowledge, technical expertise, and a consultative sales approach to support revenue growth and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong sales funnel by pursuing opportunities across our complete range of environmental services.

  • Expand revenue within existing accounts by identifying additional service needs and implementing tailored account growth strategies.

  • Drive account penetration and retention through structured account plans, including opportunity mapping, risk assessment, and customer retention strategies.

  • Use CRM tools daily to document activities, manage client information, and support new customer acquisition.

  • Stay informed on market dynamics and competitive activity to proactively adapt to shifting customer needs.

  • Maintain expert knowledge of Republic’s service offerings, pricing models, and business lines to effectively cross-sell to commercial, industrial, and recycling clients.

  • Complete customer agreements, reports, and documentation accurately and on time, adhering to company policies.

  • Regular travel is required, including overnight trips as necessary.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in generating new business within the environmental services industry.

  • Strong technical knowledge of environmental solutions and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).


Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience, including at least two years in direct, customer-facing sales.

  • Proven experience identifying and solving customer challenges through consultative sales.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and networking events.
