Territory Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a territorial retailer account base across Christian, Todd, Logan, Simpson, and Butler counties

  • Maximize sales and revenue through effective ticket distribution, equipment placement, promotions, and incentive plans

  • Analyze sales trends, develop improvement plans, and track performance using KLC databases and reporting tools

  • Train and assist retailers on vending machines, inventory management, and sales best practices

  • Serve as liaison between KLC corporate office, vendors, retailers, and players

  • Support promotions and marketing initiatives, including regional and statewide campaigns

  • Recruit, onboard, and train new lottery retailers, ensuring proper licensing and equipment allocation

  • Report daily route activity, monthly highlights, expenses, and material usage

  • Ensure compliance with KLC policies, vehicle usage, and fraud prevention standards


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (2 years of consumer product sales experience may substitute for degree)

  • Proven computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and company-provided reporting tools

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

  • Residency within the assigned territory or reasonable commute

  • Completion of four internal KLC sales training courses within the first year

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Travel 30-75% of the day visiting retailers; occasional overnight, weekend, or evening work may be required

  • Frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds, bending, kneeling, and reaching; occasional ladder use

  • Prolonged vehicle use with frequent entry/exit at retail locations

  • Constant communication with retailers, staff, and customers; computer and tablet use

Salary Range: $54,156 – $67,643 (midpoint; final offers based on experience, education, skills, and internal pay equity)
