Role Overview

The Licensed Therapist provides evidence-based care, including Family-Based Treatment (FBT) and Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E), to patients of all ages with eating disorders and comorbid diagnoses. The therapist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures patient needs are assessed and addressed.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver virtual individual, family, and group therapy for eating disorders

  • Apply evidence-based approaches: FBT, CBT-E, CBT for ARFID, and other treatments

  • Maintain a caseload of 30-40 patients, dedicating 20-26 hours/week to direct care

  • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions

  • Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, mentors, and external providers

  • Communicate with patients and the care team through Equip’s EMR

  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing trainings

  • Maintain licensure in home state; Equip covers licensure costs for additional states

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Required:

  • Active, unrestricted license to practice psychotherapy in at least one US state

  • Ability to support diverse caseloads across age, acuity, and cultural backgrounds

  • Passion for evidence-based care and virtual mental health delivery

  • Availability for 2 evening shifts/week (up to 8 PM in patient time zone)

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder care

  • Experience in intensive or evidence-based treatment settings

  • Experience supporting patients with trauma or suicidal ideation

  • Case management or multidisciplinary team experience


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $71,000 – $105,000 annually (Base + Performance-Based Bonus)

Work Details

  • Fully remote, 100% telehealth

  • 8-hour workdays, Monday–Friday, with 2 late shifts/week to match patient time zones
