Your Role as a Therapy Assistant
As a Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our education and clinical teams to provide evidence-based interventions and support to young people with complex needs. Under the supervision of qualified clinicians, you will assist in creating individualized therapy plans, conducting assessments, and delivering tailored interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions under supervision.
- Develop communication profiles and contribute to placement plans.
- Conduct observations and co-facilitate staff training.
- Attend multi-agency meetings and collaborate with families and professionals.
- Support the ongoing development of therapy services within the school.
Requirements for the Therapy Assistant Role
- 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including English.
- A relevant undergraduate degree (preferred).
- Experience working as a therapy assistant or in a similar role.
- Background in educational settings or working with SEN students.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
