As a Transport Clerk, you’ll be responsible for assisting the compliance department with key administrative tasks that keep our transport systems running safely and efficiently. Location: Croydon, CR9 0DB
Hours: 25–40 hours/week, flexible shifts (Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Salary: £13.49 per hour
Reports To: Fleet & Transport Manager & Transport Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities of a Transport Clerk

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transport operational procedures

  • Ensure full compliance with legislation and company transport policies

  • Coordinate vehicle servicing and communicate bookings to relevant departments

  • Update transport KPIs and fleet planners on a daily basis

  • Keep transport filing systems transparent, organised, and accessible

  • Assist in maintaining Health & Safety standards and reporting key issues

  • Support other transport and administrative teams as required

What You Need to Succeed as a Transport Clerk

 Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in transport administration or logistics (preferred)

  • Basic knowledge of fleet compliance and vehicle servicing

  • Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations

  • Good communication, organisation, and decision-making skills

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel with sound keyboard skills

  • Intermediate numeracy and literacy
