Key Responsibilities of a Transport Team Leader
Operational & Team Management
- Lead and motivate transport staff to meet daily operational targets.
- Provide coaching and training on transport procedures and compliance.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
Transport & Logistics Oversight
- Monitor driver performance, route efficiency, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle security, maintenance, and order tracking.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Oversee compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and transport SOPs.
- Investigate transport failures and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure vehicle and driver presentation meet company standards.

- Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of route planning, vehicle maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and a commitment to high safety standards.
Location: Cencora Distribution Hub
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10 AM – 6 PM (Occasional Saturday overtime available)
Salary: £27,885 + Overtime Pay
