Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of driving regulations, excellent navigation skills.
Duties
- Operate and drive truck to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo details as required by law with Electronic Logging Device.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. No pickups or drop off and complex cities like Chicago, New York
· Manage freight documentation and ensure proper paperwork is completed for each delivery, No touch freight 99% of the time.
- Utilize manual transmission when necessary for specific truck types.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) for two years, with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations governing truck operations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Additional Information
- 60 cents per mile
- Estimated miles 2400-3000
- Payment Every Friday
- Detention pay per 24 hours.
