A Day in the Life of a CDL Truck Driver

As a CDL Truck Driver, you’ll be the backbone of our delivery network, ensuring cargo reaches its destination on time. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Transporting goods to and from various locations.
  • Preparing and handling all necessary documentation for pickups and deliveries.
  • Operating trucks up to three tons (typically six-wheelers) to move materials.
  • Loading, securing, verifying, and unloading cargo with care.
  • Organizing your delivery schedule efficiently.
  • Delivering materials precisely where customers need them.
  • Obtaining customer signatures for proof of delivery and assisting with unloading.
  • Performing Warehouse Associate duties when not out on the road.

What you’ll need: A satisfactory driving record, a valid CDL Classification/Certification, and the applicable truck driver’s license for your state.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school degree or equivalent is required.
  • You must possess a valid CDL License.
  • 2 years of truck driving experience is required.

Skills & Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods.
  • Good vision (near, far, and night vision).
  • Ability to distinguish differences in sound pitch and loudness.
  • Quick reaction time (responding swiftly with hands, fingers, or feet to signals).
