We are proud to partner with a well-established construction company in the greater Madison, WI area to find a skilled Union Payroll Specialist to join their team. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience handling payroll for unionized employees. Key Responsibilities

Accurately process weekly payroll for union, hourly, and salaried employees

Interpret and apply terms of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) to ensure correct calculations of wages, benefits, deductions, and overtime

Manage payroll-related items including garnishments, deductions, and benefits, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including tax filings, union remittances, and certified payroll documentation

Work closely with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records

Assist with audits and financial reporting tasks involving payroll data

Keep up to date with changes in labor laws, tax requirements, and union contract terms

Support updates to payroll systems and help resolve technical issues
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; coursework in accounting or business is a plus

Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry

Strong understanding of union payroll processes and collective bargaining agreements

Knowledge of certified payroll, Davis-Bacon regulations, and relevant federal, state, and local payroll laws

Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Experience with Vista Viewpoint payroll software is a plus
