What You’ll Do

As a Product Manager at Sam’s Club, you’ll help shape customer-facing solutions by owning product strategies, driving roadmaps, and using data to inform decisions. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver impactful digital and physical experiences that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data-Driven Product Decisions:
    Use product analytics and data tools to evaluate performance indicators (e.g., conversion, adoption, churn, satisfaction). Support continuous learning through analysis of customer behaviors and product trends.

  • Customer-Centric Innovation:
    Research and validate customer needs. Create customer journeys and touchpoints, streamline processes, and deliver meaningful customer value while balancing business goals.

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap:
    Develop and manage a product roadmap aligned with strategic objectives. Lead Minimum Viable Product (MVP) rollouts, manage backlogs, prioritize tradeoffs, and scale features iteratively.

  • Vision and Long-Term Planning:
    Frame problem statements and hypotheses. Use lean experimentation and first-principles thinking to explore new product ideas, validate assumptions, and shape long-term strategies.

  • Stakeholder Alignment and Influence:
    Build strong cross-functional relationships, effectively communicate results, and align on priorities with internal teams and stakeholders.

  • Technology Integration:
    Represent technology needs in design discussions. Collaborate with engineering to evaluate feasibility, prioritize efforts, and drive outcomes. Stay informed on emerging trends and competitor offerings.

  • Domain Expertise:
    Understand best practices, tools, and market standards in your domain. Identify innovation opportunities and advocate for continuous improvement and automation.

  • Team Leadership and Development:
    Support associate development through mentorship, coaching, and recognition. Contribute to a culture of inclusion, integrity, and growth.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive compensation packages, including:

  • Base Salary:

    • San Bruno, CA: $117,000 – $234,000

    • Bentonville, AR: $90,000 – $180,000
      Includes eligibility for annual or quarterly performance bonuses

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of product management experience

  • Option 2: 7+ years of product management experience without a degree


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration

  • 4+ years managing large-scale B2B or B2C consumer-facing products

  • Experience designing inclusive digital experiences and applying accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA)

  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and accessibility integration best practices
