Staff Pharmacist – Walmart | Timberville, VA

Position Summary
As a Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you will play a key role in delivering quality healthcare by accurately dispensing medications, counseling patients, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting clinical programs like immunizations. You will lead pharmacy operations with integrity, drive patient safety, and provide expert pharmaceutical care while mentoring your team and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

What You’ll Do

  • Process and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently

  • Provide medication counseling and health advice to customers

  • Administer immunizations and support Walmart’s clinical care programs

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations

  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and controlled substance documentation

  • Guide and support pharmacy staff to ensure high-quality service and care

  • Foster a culture focused on patient safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement business solutions and drive results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD (or equivalent FPGE certification)

  • Active pharmacy license (by job entry date)

  • Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program

  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting

  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and billing procedures

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $98,000 – $172,000 (based on a 40-hour workweek)
