About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and physically fit Van Driver to empty clothing banks across Cumbria and the North East. This is a self-employed contractor position, perfect for someone who enjoys working independently and managing their own route.
You will be based out of a depot where you’ll collect your daily route sheet and perform vehicle checks before setting out. The role involves collecting and bagging clothing from clothing banks, ensuring they are emptied on time, locked properly, and defects reported. At the end of each shift, you will unload the vehicle at the designated drop-off location.
Key Responsibilities

Drive a Sprinter LWB van safely and efficiently on designated routes

Collect clothing from banks listed on your daily rota

Lift and bag clothing (up to 10kg per bag)

Lock and secure banks after emptying

Report any damage or issues with the banks

Return to depot and unload vehicle at the end of shift
What We’re Looking For

Experience driving a Sprinter-sized van (or similar LWB vehicle)

Confident navigating city streets and rural areas using GPS apps
-
Physically able to lift and carry up to 10kg bags repeatedly

Comfortable working independently for long hours

Punctual, responsible, and highly reliable

This is a self-employed contractor role. You will be responsible for your own tax and national insurance. No sick pay or holiday pay is provided.
