An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the senior leadership team at South Hampshire College Group (SHCG) as Vice Principal, leading our Southampton College Campus. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of a local college while benefiting from the support of a wider group structure.

Following the merger of Southampton College, Eastleigh College, and Fareham College in August 2023, our Southampton campus has undergone significant capital investment, creating Centres of Excellence in Digital, Early Years, and Engineering. With high-quality facilities and strong industry partnerships, the campus provides students with exceptional hands-on learning experiences and career pathways.

As Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, maintaining high educational standards, and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both the institution and its students.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Provide senior leadership for the Southampton College Campus, ensuring compliance with SHCG’s strategic goals and quality standards.
🔹 Maintain and improve curriculum and quality standards in alignment with the group’s strategic and quality improvement plans.
🔹 Oversee campus facilities and resources, ensuring they are well-maintained, effectively utilized, and support student success.

Skills & Experience:

✔ Proven track record of driving outstanding educational performance and student outcomes.
✔ Previous senior leadership experience in an educational setting, with the ability to build cross-college accountability.
✔ Strong knowledge of Ofsted, SAR processes, and quality inspection frameworks.
✔ Experience in delivering successful outcomes in regulatory inspections.
✔ Expertise in learning support strategies, pedagogy, and statutory requirements.
✔ Ability to mentor, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
✔ Experience in developing strategic plans to enhance the quality of education.

Qualifications:

🎓 First degree or equivalent
🎓 Teaching qualification
🎓 Evidence of continuous professional development
