About the Opportunity
The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Indiana is seeking highly qualified and dedicated teachers to deliver engaging, online instruction to K–12 students. As part of the ACCEL Schools network, this role focuses on empowering students to learn effectively through innovative virtual education. Teachers will deliver live lessons, monitor student progress, and support both academic and emotional growth in a nurturing digital environment.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for assigned courses.

Deliver live online lessons using research-based teaching practices.

Monitor student progress, grade assignments daily, and provide timely feedback.

Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Collaborate with the Principal and team to review student performance and reports.

Communicate regularly with families regarding student academic and emotional development.

Set up and manage courses within the Learning Management System (LMS).

Incorporate 21st-century technology and culturally responsive teaching methods.

Attend in-person events several times per year for state testing, field trips, and school gatherings.

Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
Qualifications

Valid Indiana teaching license in an appropriate content area.

Indiana residency required.

Minimum two years of teaching experience preferred.

Strong understanding of Indiana State Standards and Common Core Standards.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and educational technology.

Ability to maintain student confidentiality and manage virtual classrooms effectively.

Must pass federal and state background checks.
