Position Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to join our team and deliver rigorous, student-centered instruction in a virtual environment. While this is primarily an online school position, teachers will be required to travel several times a year for in-person state testing and student events.
The successful candidate will serve as the teacher of record, delivering live online lessons, monitoring student progress, and providing timely feedback. Teachers will also play a critical role in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary instructor and teacher of record

Deliver highly effective live lessons through web conferencing platforms

Set up and maintain courses in the Learning Management System

Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback

Collaborate with school leadership to prepare and deliver progress reports

Review and analyze student-level data to adjust instructional practices

Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs

Integrate culturally responsive teaching into daily instruction

Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth

Incorporate 21st-century technology skills into teaching and collaboration

Participate in student events, field trips, and state testing (in person)

Support school-wide culture expectations inside and outside the virtual classroom

Qualifications
Required:
-
Current Oregon teaching license in appropriate content area

Oregon residency
-
Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)

Ability to pass state and federal background checks
Preferred:
-
At least two years of teaching experience

Experience in multicultural or diverse educational settings

Comfort working in a coaching environment with regular feedback
Work Environment & Expectations

Virtual instruction with travel required several times a year

Must be able to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time

Ability to supervise students in both virtual and in-person settings
