About the Role
ACCEL Schools is hiring Virtual Teachers who are committed to providing rigorous, engaging, and supportive online instruction to K–12 students across Georgia. This position combines the flexibility of virtual teaching with the responsibility of in-person attendance at select events and state testing.
You will serve as the teacher of record, delivering live virtual lessons, monitoring student progress, providing timely feedback, and collaborating with families and colleagues to support both academic and social-emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as primary instructor for all core content areas.

Deliver engaging live lessons online using research-based instructional practices.

Monitor, grade, and provide feedback on asynchronous coursework daily.

Track student progress and maintain consistent communication with families.

Review student data to inform instruction and adjust programs.

Differentiate teaching to meet diverse student needs.

Create a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom environment.

Support school-wide culture expectations and norms.

Participate in in-person events such as testing, social activities, and field trips.

Collaborate regularly with colleagues and administration.
Qualifications
-
Current Georgia teaching license in the relevant content area.

Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.

At least 2 years of teaching experience preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).

Ability to pass state and federal background checks.

Experience in multicultural settings preferred.
