Job Summary
ACCEL Schools is seeking highly qualified Virtual Teachers who are dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will create a rigorous and nurturing online classroom environment that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development. While this position is primarily remote, occasional in-person attendance is required for state testing and school events.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the teacher of record for assigned courses and grade levels.

Deliver live online lessons using effective, research-based teaching strategies.

Manage and monitor asynchronous coursework within the Learning Management System.

Track and evaluate student progress; provide timely grading and constructive feedback.

Maintain consistent communication with students and families to support learning.

Review student data frequently to inform instruction and academic planning.

Differentiate lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive virtual classroom.

Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and attend staff meetings.

Travel as required to support state testing and school events.

Perform additional duties assigned by the principal or school leadership.
Qualifications

Valid Georgia teaching license in the appropriate subject area.

Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.

Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.) and online learning tools.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage student records effectively.

Willingness to work in a growth-focused, feedback-driven environment.

Experience working in multi-cultural settings preferred.

Must pass federal and state background checks.
