ACCEL Schools is seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to create rigorous, engaging, and nurturing virtual classrooms that promote both academic success and social-emotional growth. Our schools use a modern 21st-century curriculum, available online and through various learning methods.
Note: Although this is an online position, teachers must be available to travel several times a year for state testing and in-person student events.
About the Opportunity
As a teacher at ACCEL Schools, you’ll serve as the primary instructor responsible for student learning outcomes, live virtual instruction, progress monitoring, and communication with families. You’ll inspire students through innovative teaching practices while maintaining a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the teacher of record and deliver live virtual lessons.

Set up and manage courses in the Learning Management System (LMS).

Track and grade student assignments daily.

Analyze student data to improve instruction.

Provide regular progress reports and maintain parent communication.

Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs.

Create a joyful and culturally responsive classroom environment.

Participate in non-instructional activities, events, and testing sessions.

Collaborate respectfully and effectively with colleagues.
About You
Requirements:

Current Ohio teaching license in the relevant subject area.

Ohio residency required.
-
Knowledge of State and Common Core Standards.

At least 2 years of teaching experience preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).

Commitment to professional growth through coaching and feedback.

Ability to pass federal and state background checks.

Experience in multicultural settings preferred.
