About the Team

We are seeking passionate teachers who are committed to creating a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development. ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge, 21st-century curriculum that can be accessed online and through various traditional methods.

While this is an online position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face-to-face attendance will be required several times a year to support in-person state testing and student events.

About the Opportunity

Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor.
Work relentlessly to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture, as well as state-specific academic accountability goals.
Deliver engaging live lessons via web conference, rooted in research-based instructional practices.
Complete course setup within the Learning Management System.
Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses; provide daily feedback and grade assignments.
Track and maintain regular contact with each student.
Collaborate with the Principal to create and deliver progress reports.
Use student-level data to inform instructional adjustments.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Foster a joyful, caring, and inclusive virtual classroom environment.
Incorporate culturally responsive teaching into lessons and communication.
Implement school-wide culture expectations.
Maintain regular family communication regarding student growth.
Integrate 21st-century technology skills into daily instruction.
Participate in planning and attending non-instructional events such as field trips and social gatherings.
Travel to support annual in-person state testing.
Perform other duties as assigned.

About You

Current Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area (required).
Ohio residency (required).
Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Preferred: Two years of teaching experience.
Comfortable in a growth-focused coaching environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Physical ability to stand for up to 90 minutes and supervise students in various settings.
Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.
