About the Role
Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and consumer-friendly, allowing customers to buy now and pay later with no hidden fees or compounding interest. The Product Creative team—a cross-functional group of brand designers, copywriters, and creative strategists—drives the evolution of Affirm’s product marketing communications across email, in-app, web, and other channels.
We’re looking for a Visual Designer to refine Affirm’s visual language, unify brand and product design, and ensure consistency across all communication touchpoints. You’ll help build scalable frameworks, expand our Communications Design System, and partner with teams across the company to deliver high-impact, visually compelling work.
What You’ll Do

Lead design and execution of Affirm’s marketing and product communications across email, in-app, and web.

Develop a unified design ecosystem with reusable assets and documentation.

Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Growth, and Brand teams to create user-centered, business-aligned communications.

Co-design in-app experiences for promotional campaigns and seasonal events.

Educate teams on visual strategy, ensuring consistency across channels.

Experiment with motion and interactive elements to enhance engagement.
What We’re Looking For

4+ years in visual, communications, or product design.

Strong portfolio showcasing clarity, scalability, and visual storytelling.

Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Contentful, SFMC.

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, motion design (LottieFiles), WCAG principles.

Experience building or contributing to design systems.

Strategic thinker with meticulous attention to typography, grids, and whitespace.
