The United States Department of the Air Force (DAF) is one of three military departments within the U.S. Department of Defense. Established on September 18, 1947, under the National Security Act of 1947 (codified in Title 10 of the U.S. Code), it serves as the military department overseeing both the United States Air Force and the United States Space Force.

Qualifying Experience
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Must be able to follow simple verbal instructions and prepare checks for customers.
- Must have the physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Must obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler training.
- Must be able to interact with customers and demonstrate strong public engagement skills.
Education
Some federal positions allow education to substitute for experience; however, this position does not permit education substitution.
Foreign Education
Education obtained from foreign institutions may be considered if proof is provided that the credentials are equivalent to a U.S. educational program. It is the applicant’s responsibility to submit this verification.
