We are looking for a warehouse associate to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities include storing materials, picking and packing. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. Attention to detail and a get it done attitude is important in our operation, as we pull orders from a “pick ticket” and place items in cartons or palletize the heavy or bulkier material. We encourage workers to learn other functions such as receiving and shipping. Ability to operate reach type forklifts is very desirable although we can train and certify here. We like to cross train as much as possible and enable you to learn about the products we distribute. If you have experience driving 24′ box trucks then that’s also desireable but not necessary as it would be very limited. Opportunities to move into counter sales are possible for the right individual. Physical ability to handle heavier and larger products is also important. We are a family friendly business and will treat you as such.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Skills
- Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Current forklift license
- High school degree
