About the Job
Bowhead is seeking a Web Application Developer to join an established team in Dahlgren, VA. The role involves analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and deploying web-based applications in a .Net IIS environment. The developer will support ongoing development and operations on an existing contract. The position requires both independent work and collaboration within a team to develop database-driven web applications based on provided requirements.
Responsibilities:

Knowledge of web activities, tools, HTML, and GUI design techniques.

Experience with RDMS (Oracle preferred); experience with data warehouses is a plus.

Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio, TOAD, and IIS.

Support and development of SharePoint.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with effective verbal and written communication.

Adapt to changing priorities and schedules based on customer needs.

Participate in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Work with various levels of contractor and government personnel.

Provide individualized user support when necessary.
Qualifications:
-
2-5 years of experience in .Net web application development, Oracle SQL, and related tools like Microsoft Visual Studio, TOAD, and IIS.

A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred.

Intermediate to advanced skills in SQL, with experience working with RDMS (preferably Oracle) and data warehouses.

Knowledge of web techniques, tools, and GUI design.

Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while adjusting to changing priorities and schedules.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and external contacts.

Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands:

Security Clearance:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required to secure the clearance for this position.
