Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain both the front-end and back-end of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA) websites, ensuring the application of industry best practices.

  • Expertise in web software systems, Cloud technologies, and application programming.

  • Design, test, deploy, and maintain accessible websites and intranet environments for MHFA, managing web environments efficiently.

  • Collaborate closely with the Communications Department to ensure content, graphics, and navigation create a positive and seamless user experience.

  • Perform additional duties as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience in web development and programming. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology can substitute for one (1) year of experience.

  • Three (3) years of proven experience delivering scalable web solutions, including user interface development, queries, workflows, and web services.

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery libraries, and Web APIs.

  • Experience with Cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

  • Experience with web content management systems and web analytic tools.

  • Strong cultural competency demonstrated through effective communication and interaction across cultures, and an awareness of diverse worldviews.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with web content management systems and web analytic tools.

  • Experience administering or developing Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Experience with SOAP or REST APIs.

  • Experience with programming languages and frameworks such as NodeJS, Python, or .NET Framework/Core (C#).

  • Experience using Source Control systems like GIT and Azure DevOps.

  • Commitment to cultural responsiveness and experience working effectively with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
