📍 Location: Fulton, MO
💰 Pay Range: $19.18 – $28.80 per hour
🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

The Welder role is the final step in our fabrication process, producing high-quality metal parts that meet Simpson Strong-Tie’s exact specifications. This is a hands-on position that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up welding machines, read prints, stage work, and weld metal parts.

  • Produce quality parts according to Simpson specifications in a safe manner.

  • Use manual and powered hand tools to support production.

  • Measure accurately using tape measures and protractors.

  • Label, package, and stage finished products for distribution.

  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment.


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of production welding or related manufacturing experience.

  • Certificate from a college or technical school (preferred).

  • Simpson Strong-Tie PIT Certification (provided at hire).

  • Ability to read blueprints, interpret instructions, and solve problems.

  • Strong safety awareness and reliable attendance.

  • Mathematical reasoning (basic algebra/geometry).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Simpson applications.

  • Leadership skills to coach, mentor, and prioritize tasks effectively.


Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Stand for 8–12 hours per shift with repetitive motion, twisting, and bending.

  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly (heavier with equipment).

  • Exposure to heat, cold, loud noise, vibration, and moving machinery.

  • Occasional sitting, frequent walking, talking, and hearing.

  • No travel required.
